Paulito's 15 años pega'o concert, which I went to when I was in Havana last year - and which had me squealing like an excited teenager - has finally turned up on international TV, and was captured by our good friend Richard at muchoswing. The bad news is that his fantastic duet with Vannia has been excised from the show (but you can see part of it among my youtube clips); as have guest appearances by luminaries from his past such as pianist Sergio Noroña and bass player Frank Rubio. Trumpeter Alexander Abreu made it, with a solo in De La Habana, which I have uploaded to youtube, along with the short and very sweet rendition of Con la conciencia tranquila that I have embedded, above. I'll probably divide up the whole show and upload it over the next few days. Meanwhile, if you'd like to get the whole show, go to muchoswing for a link to the torrent.
